My Jayjays Birthday

Good things happen too well to let bad things ruin it in the end. I worked at Smiggles today. Yes, I'm a BIG just group whore. I've worked in Just Jeans, Jayjays, Smiggles and even Dotti. Well, I've also worked in Supermarket(which used to be part of Just Group methinks). So yeah, it was great to kinda be in the same room with Badih again. I saw his 'boy'. By 'his boy', they are NOT even seeing each other but I think both of them are kinda fit for each other. Both small in sizes (as in height and body weight wise) and this guy is just soo cute. I tried not to look at him that much before it seems too obvious that I'm staring at someone's boy. But yeah, Badih and this guy, they'd make a cute couple. That's what I told Badih anyways. I don't really find Badih as annoying as I used to anymore. Well, I never kinda dislike him but I did come to this point where it kinda seems like he always wanna know better or be better in convos. It's just the vibe he gives out I guess whenever I say something, he just has to top it. But I guess he's kinda cool when it's one on one communication. So yeah, hanging out with Badih was fun. Now, on another note, working at Smiggles was BORING. Like TOTALLY BORING. The first hour was fun since everything was new and you see all these bright colored stationery shit but after an hour or two you get sick of it. And the people who comes into the shop would spend only like a few dollars. So, it was quite irritating.

Now, Leah called into Smiggles to call on me to come to Jayjays saying I wa in big trouble. Scared the shit outta me until I got there and there they were, Leah and LB, just standing there behind the counter. They thought my birthday was today and for that, they decided to give me the card and all ONLY today. Now, watching them all smiling together makes me wanna cry since it's been a while since we all were one. Reminds me of the time we used to chill together, the time when my family at Jayjays have time for each other. It was just a good sight. As I checked out what they gave me, I wanted to cry more.

• a tag from Jayjays worth 25 bucks with "This was too expensive for us to buy. So here's the ticket. It's the thought that counts" written on it.
• A payroll paper half torn with "Random paper" written on it with stars.
• Customer copy receipt of something purchased for eighteen bucks, which I'm guessing was the snoopy card they gave me and LB's cough drops.
• Four voucher coupons for domino pizzas which we normally get free of charge from mails.
• Random newsagent bag.

Now, why would that make me wanna cry? Well, humor is one of my favorite things in life and they both cracked me up so well. Sometimes, it's not the price of the gift that counts. It's the idea well thought behind it. The card itself has some really cool shit on it. They chose snoopy cos most asians choose snoopy products for some reason, which is quite funny and true. And they put a penis on snoopy only cos it was addressed to me. And LB also drew a buddha with a hairy chest, which kinda implies me being a fat and hairy buddhist. Now, there was this crappiest chocolate wrapper but inside it was a gift voucher of sixty bucks to Platypus. It was just cute that both of them came together and made an effort to give me and make me smile.

After my smiggles shift, I went to myers to spoil myself. Actually, I was gonna go to JB Hi Fi to meet up with Stevie and FINALLY buy an ipod with jason Mraz CD, but the perfume line got my attention, like it normally would. So, I spoilt myself with a Sean John cologne, a Nano IPOD and a Jason Mraz CD. I love buying myself birthday pressies and I've been good enough to have saved that much and not spend it on alcohol as soon as I got my tax return. So yeah for once, I got products outta the money I earned or made. We had a Jayjays meeting afterwards and I have to say Leah is a good manager. Well, I've never doubted her but she's proved everyone that she's worth the strength that she actually has. She was very good with the speech she gave and she was very comfortable with the whole meeting. Watching Luke and Amelia give speeches was a bit expected cos they've been with the company for quite some time. However, given this was Leah's first ever speech, (well at least it was to me), it was quite brilliant and it was nice to see her bloom. Not that I'm this major expert manager watching her back but it's really good to see your close friends grow.

And yes, Kevin left.

After the meeting, Leah, Soon, LB and I went to Charlie Chan's on George St for a dinner. Soon also gave me this cute little cake during the meeting. The Thai food at the back of Charlie Chan's was LUSHHHHHHHHHH. I love the Khow Suoy, also known as the Chiang Mai Laksa, I had and everything was just so good to eat there. So, I would recommend whoever reading this to go try there. It's called Baby pork thai. The baby pork thai dish itself was pretty good. We love the Pad Thai and for some reason, LB thought it tasted like a bad vagina. This was when Soon, Leah and I looked at each other and went 'umm ok' since none of us had ever tasted poonanny before. SO, yep LB as soon as I've tasted pussy, I'll get back to you on that.

After that, Leah and LB went home only cos they were sick and they have work tomorrow. Soon and I went to Stonewall for drinks and to laugh at those who are singing Karaoke. I got a bit tipsy and started singing on stage but I was at the 'bell' round. This is the round where the people viewing chooses whether you stop the song or not. So, yes I got belled off but I got to sing "Better Man" for like the first two minutes.

Today was a pleasant day. It's been a while since we have outings like this with the Jayjays family. Though Soon and LB are leaving soon, I guess this little group of Mama Mills, LB, Soon, Leah and Suki and me will ever stay on and never die :)

I almost forgot to mention the BAD PART of today. My memory card on my camera fucked up. So, all of the pics taken last night at la mancha were fucked too. So, this calls for a new card purchase. *le sigh*
