Kids' birthday parties

Photobucket
So, the first day of work was spent at a workshop and the second day was spent giving a 15 minutes presentation, followed by an invite to JajaMan’s son’s five years old birthday party.

Now, I am a huge workaholic and things like workshop or presentations don’t really get me down. However, the UN administration is way too hectic. I had to fill out this form called P11 form, find three referees who would be able to sign or give electronic signature, get a med certificate and sit for two long ass security exams, which come in form of two CD’s.

Looking for referees was a bit awkward since although I knew BigSis or Shamrock would be there for me, I was not sure they would have a electronic signature ready or actually be patient enough for it. However, three of them, BigSis, Shamrock and ToyBoss were more than willing to help me out.

Today was also the second day at the gym with iCandy. iCandy, despite his hot face and cool personality, is more Nazi than any Hitler reincarnations combined. I had to run 20 minutes on treadmill with 20 minutes walking. I also had to do this ‘wifebeater bash’, that’s what iCandy called it. Why? Because the whole point of this hard work at gym is to be able to look good in a wifebeater on my album cover. The repititions would never exceed over 20 but somehow the things iCandy made me do are so difficult and I love it because I got stomach cramp today while doing sit ups on the bouncy ball. I swear those bouncy balls do not look as cruel as they ACTUALLY are. I felt really good about how iCandy and I are becoming friends, more like gym buddies and I mean like those people who walk around male gym locker rooms without boners, and it felt good that he trusted me, especially when he asked me to take his bank card to draw money at Bangkok airport. Wow! Trust much?

I thought I was late for JajaMan’s son’s fifth birthday but when I got there, no one had actually started eating yet. It started off with cutting the birthday cake, which shut most of the kids up. I love kids, don’t get me wrong but sometimes good strategy to avoid parents from being able to ENJOY a child’s birthday party is quite essential, especially when you have 5-7 years old loitering around with balloons in their hands. It was nice to see all of the office staffs there as well; quite surprised that LogAngel and Translator were both mothers. I have to admit they both look young. I said NOTHING about ‘pretty’, just young. I did enjoy the party and it was nice to be able to see SariMama’s daughter again; she’s a cutie and she totally made my boredom disappear the last time at a party by making me pile up pillows and umbrellas to build a house for her and her Danish friend. Today, she talked about unicorn balloons, legoland and MagicLand, which her friend said existed but she wasn’t sure she wanted to go. She preferred ice cream than cake as well. God, I love kids. But yeah, JajaMan’s kid, as well as SitarBro’s daughter, were both so cute. Something about Indian kids (those well behaved ones), I had to control myself from squeezing their cheeks. BOOMAN, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, MAKE SURE U GET ME KIDS!!!
